Terms of Use
By installing or using the Ario applications ("the apps") you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the apps.
License
Ario grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the apps on Apple devices you own or control, as permitted by Apple's standard end-user license. Family Sharing is supported for the iOS / iPadOS app; the Mac companion is bundled at no additional cost.
One-time purchase
Ario is sold as a single one-time purchase through the App Store. There is no subscription. Future major versions may be offered as separate purchases; bug-fix and feature updates within a major version are free.
Acceptable use
- Don't use Ario to access devices you don't own or aren't authorized to control.
- Don't reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the apps, except to the extent that applicable law expressly permits.
- Don't redistribute the apps, sell access, or repackage them.
Local network responsibility
Ario operates entirely on your Local Area Network. You are responsible for the security of that network — its Wi-Fi password, the trust level of the people on it, and any firewall configuration. We recommend treating Ario's connection like SSH access to your Mac.
No warranty
The apps are provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not warrant that they will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every screen-capture or accessibility configuration on macOS.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event will we be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of your use of the apps. Our total cumulative liability is limited to the amount you paid for the apps.
Refunds
Refund requests are handled by Apple under the App Store's standard refund policy. We cannot directly issue refunds for App Store purchases.
Termination
You may stop using Ario at any time. We may suspend or revoke a license if these terms are materially violated.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the developer is based, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.
